Intentional Connections
Helping Jewish Singles build confidence, find clarity, and create meaningful, intentional connections. Dating Coaching rooted in tradition, authenticity, and real-world results.
Kavanah (Hebrew: כַּוָּנָה, "intention" or "direction") refers to the inner focus, sincerity, and heartfelt dedication brought to prayer, blessings, and the performance of religious commandments (mitzvot). It acts as the "soul" of ritual, preventing actions from becoming mindless, mechanical habits, and ensures the spiritual purpose is fulfilled.
Services we offer
Module 1: Jewish Reflections for Intentional Dating
Purpose: Ground modern dating challenges in timeless Jewish wisdom, without being preachy or dogmatic.
Module 2: Intentional Connection Exercises
Purpose: Translate insight into action. These exercises prevent intellectualizing and help clients practice intentional dating between sessions.
Module 3: Secure Attachment Practices for Dating
Purpose: Help clients regulate dating anxiety, reduce avoidance, and choose partners from grounded clarity rather than settling.
Module 4: Discerning the Right Match & Moving Toward Commitment
Purpose: Equip clients with the framework to evaluate a developing relationship, navigate the transition from dating to exclusivity, and align on a shared future.
Module 1: Shifting the Paradigm: Exploration over Interrogation
Purpose: Modern dating apps train us to assess people like consumer products—filtering by height, zip code, and career. This section teaches clients how to break that habit in person.
Module 2: Cultivating Panim el Panim (Face-to-Face) Presence
Purpose: True connection happens when we are fully present. In Jewish thought, Panim el Panim represents the deepest level of encounter—seeing the humanity and divine spark in the other person.
Module 3: The "Slow-Burn" Chemistry Framework
Purpose: The Hollywood narrative of an immediate, lightning-bolt "spark" ruins many potentially great Jewish marriages before they begin.
Module 4: Authentic Vetting & Deconstructing Dealbreakers
Purpose: Teach clients how to filter potential partners based on core values rather than superficial checklists, drawing on the Jewish concept of Yichus (which traditionally meant lineage, but here is redefined as a person's character and values).
Module 5: Pacing Intimacy & Emotional Boundaries
Purpose: Address the physical and emotional pacing of a new relationship. This module adapts the underlying wisdom of Kedushah (Holiness/Separation) to create intentionality around intimacy, regardless of a client’s level of religious observance.
Module 6: Navigating Friction (The Foundation of Shalom Bayit)
Purpose: Normalize conflict in early dating and teach clients how to disagree productively. This introduces Shalom Bayit (Peace in the Home) not as the absence of arguing, but as the presence of mutual respect and effective repair.
Module 7: The Tachlis Conversations (Merging Lives & Values)
Purpose: Equip clients to have the heavy-hitting, bottom-line (Tachlis) conversations required before getting engaged.
Module 8: The Decision Matrix (From Clarity to Commitment)
Purpose: The final phase. Giving clients the psychological and practical tools to overcome cold feet, stop looking for "the next best thing" on the apps, and make a confident, grounded decision to commit.
Module 1: Foundations – Dating With Purpose
Purpose: To shift the client’s mindset from casual, validation-seeking dating to intentional discernment, and to establish a clear, shared vision for marriage success.
Module 2: Jewish Identity & Shared Life Vision
Purpose: To map the client's core Jewish identity and outline a realistic, actionable vision for building a Jewish home, identifying where alignment is essential.
Module 3: Values Over Vibes
Purpose: To define the client's top marriage-sustaining values and recalibrate their understanding of "chemistry" so they prioritize long-term compatibility over fleeting sparks.
Module 4: Emotional Readiness for Marriage
Purpose: To assess the client’s emotional availability, identify unhelpful recurring dating patterns, and foster the personal ownership required for a healthy marriage.
Module 5: Attachment & Relationship Dynamics
Purpose: To help the client recognize their attachment style in dating and consciously rewire their attraction toward stable, secure, and healthy partners.
Module 6: Communication & Conflict
Purpose: To build foundational skills for expressing needs and navigating conflict healthily, using disagreements as a metric for long-term marital success.
Module 7: Standards, Deal-Breakers & Flexibility
Purpose: To distinguish between true non-negotiables and fear-based self-sabotage, helping clients maintain high standards without unreasonable perfectionism.
Module 8: Masculine & Feminine Polarity (Without Stereotypes)
Purpose: To cultivate authentic presence and healthy relationship dynamics that foster mutual respect, safety, and natural attraction.
Module 9: Family Systems & Expectations
Purpose: To unpack the influence of the client's family of origin and establish the boundaries necessary for creating a strong, independent new family unit.
Module 10: Practical Life Alignment
Purpose: To align on the pragmatic realities of marriage, ensuring couples are compatible regarding finances, gender roles, geography, and daily lifestyle rhythms.
Module 11: Discernment & Decision-Making
Purpose: To equip the client with the courage and clarity to decisively end misaligned relationships or confidently commit to the right one without relying on fantasy.
Module 12: Integration & Marriage-Minded Dating Plan
Purpose: To consolidate the insights from the program into a personalized, actionable dating strategy that measures success by clarity and adherence to core values.
